Most prototype testing is shallow because it happens after the decision has already been made. By the time the prototype is built, the team has committed to a direction — and the "testing" becomes a formality to confirm the decision rather than challenge it. Real validation happens before commitment, alongside the product team doing the work, not after a hand-off to an outside vendor.

What We Do
The sprint adapts to where you are:
Test what you already built. Your team shipped a feature or built a prototype. PH1 runs structured behavioral testing with real users to identify what is working, what is breaking trust, and what needs to change before it scales.
Benchmark against competitors. You need to quantify how your product performs against market leaders. PH1 runs competitive prototype testing with real users across your product and up to three competitors, delivering a performance scorecard grounded in observed behavior — not feature comparison tables.
Multi-round testing with your design team. PH1 embeds alongside your designers and PMs for rapid iterative testing — typically two to four rounds — to validate ideas, define features, and refine flows for conversion. Each round feeds the next design iteration directly.
The primary value is the integration: PH1 works directly with your product managers, designers, and researchers to convert ambiguity into development-ready direction. No handoffs, no wait times for research reports, no disconnection between research findings and design decisions.

Can you test prototypes we have already built?
Yes. Many clients come to PH1 with an existing prototype and need behavioral evidence before committing further engineering resources. We test what you have built, not just things we design.
Can you benchmark our prototype against competitors?
Yes. We run competitive prototype testing with real users across your product and up to three competitor products, producing a performance scorecard using the AI Product Calibration framework when AI features are in scope.
How many rounds of testing are included?
Typically 1 to 3 rounds within a 3–5 week sprint. Multi-round engagements feed each round's findings into the next design iteration in real time.
Do you design the prototype or test what we have?
Both. Some engagements involve PH1 designing and testing new concepts. Others involve testing an existing prototype built by your team. Most are collaborative iteration between PH1 and your in-house design team.
How do you work with our internal design team?
We embed alongside your product managers, designers, and researchers throughout the sprint. You are in the research sessions. You see findings in real time. We leave your team stronger, not dependent on PH1.
